Booking Incident Now Under E-Division Microscope

Prince George, B.C. – The internal investigation of how three officers involved in the alleged assault of a woman being booked at the Prince George detachment in late August is now being conducted by E-Division headquarters in Vancouver.
The RCMP Professional Standards are looking at how the three, ( two males and a female) handled a female who was being booked for causing a disturbance.
The incident was caught on video tape and after reviewing the tape, Superintendent Brenda Butterworth- Carr initiated an investigation. Initially the matter was being examined by a Sergeant within the detachment who is in charge of Professional Standards.
The Superintendent has since requested the incident be investigated by E-Division.
