Prince George B.C.- About a thousand people took part in the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Veteran's Plaza in front of Prince George City Hall this morning.
The parade which made its way from the Civic Centre services, had enough participants to fill the grassed area of the Veteran's Plaza.
The family of Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick, who died last March from injuries sustained in Afghanistan, was the memorial cross family to lay a wreaths. The father and stepmother of Mathew McCully who perished while serving in Afghanistan, stood by their side.
With a Cenotaph Guard of Petty Officer James Houg, Air Cadet Sergeant Sam Hamm, Army Cadet Bo Murphy and an RCMP Constable, the service saw wreaths laid on behalf of the Federal and Provincial governments, the Legion, the McCauley and Fitzpatrick families, and Canadian Peace Keepers.
