Tragic End to Search for Cooper

Williams Lake, B.C.- A tragic end to the search for Trevor Cooper, a young Williams Lake man missing since October 31st.
The Prince George RCMP activated the PG Search and Rescue team on Monday November 15, 2010 along Hwy 97 near Red Rock, south of Prince George. Searchers located the body of 22 yr old missing Trevor Cooper, foul play is not suspected.
"Acting on a new public tip received Monday November 15, the Prince George RCMP, activated the Prince George Search and Rescue Monday morning to search in the Red Rock area 33 km north of PG. The search area started with the new last known sighting location at the Red Rock Fire Hall on Hwy 97.
Searchers found Trevor deceased in a ditch near the newly constructed Red Rock weigh scales on Hwy 97. There are no indications of foul play related to Trevors' death at this time" stated Cpl Dan Moskaluk.
On Monday, the witness advised the RCMP that he had given a male matching Cooper's description a ride, one week ago on Sunday November 7. He had dropped the male off at the Red Rock Fire hall on Hwy 97. The witness added that he had attempted to provide further assistance to the male who refused any help and carried on, walking away from the fire hall.
"It is a very unfortunate ending to this incident, the Williams Lake RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation. We are continuing to assist the Cooper family with this tragic loss." added Cpl Dan Moskaluk.
