'Tis the Season, Festival of Trees Time

Prince George, B.C. – It is the one event which officially kicks off the spirit of giving in Prince George,   it is the Festival of Trees.
Tonight’s gala  auction event marks the start of the 17th annual festival.  The Festival opens for public viewing tomorrow at 10:00 am, and will continue through the 28th.
 
This is the premier fundraising event for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and all proceeds go towards enhancing health care in the north. 
 
 In addition to the beautiful trees, there is a children’s activity centre where, for a nominal fee, kids can make special gifts. There is a specialty gift shop, and numerous events through to the final day of November 28th
Tickets for most events are available at the Foundation’s office at the University Hospital of Northern B.C., the only exceptions are the Business Persons Lunch and the already sold out Teddy Bear Breakfast.

  • Civic Plaza Light-Up Ceremony... Wednesday, November 24   6:00 pm   Free
  • Seniors Tea #1... Thursday, November 25   1:30 pm - 3:30 pm $5 person 
  • Seniors Tea #2... Friday, November 26 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm $5 person 
  • Jingle Bell Dance... Friday, November 26 8:30 pm - 1:00 am $30 person 
  • Teddy Bear Breakfast... Sunday, November 28  is already SOLD OUT
A day pass will cost $5.00 for each adult, $3 dollars for students Seniors and Children or $10 for a family.  There are reduced rates for a weekly pass.
