Ft St John -  A total of 200 charges have been laid against five Fort St John men stemming from the incident at the Beatton River on July 25, 2010.

Jordan “Billy” Ramos, Jordan Reno, Jeremy Jondrea, Calvin Gunning and Joshua Toth are each charged with 40 Criminal Code offences. These charges include weapons offences, specifically Pointing a Firearm and Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence, as well as numerous counts of Common Assault, Assault With a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Aggravated Assault.

These five men are also charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief.

On July 25, 2010 just after 4:00 am Fort St. John RCMP were dispatched to a violent assault that involved numerous people at a popular party location on the Beatton River, located off of the 103 Rd outside of Fort St. John.

A large group of teens and young adults had gathered at this area the previous evening to camp and party where liquor was consumed. At some point during the night, several fights broke out.

One of the parties involved in the fights left the area and returned with a group of friends who were armed with a handgun, baseball bats, two by fours and other weapons.

This group of friends confronted the party goers, resulting in several people being assaulted and a number of vehicles damaged. Numerous people suffered serious injuries as a result of being struck by weapons.

“Huge amounts of time and effort went into this investigation”, says Sgt. Steve Perrett, “various units of the Fort St John Detachment as well as the Regional General Investigation Section worked tirelessly, interviewing dozens of witnesses and gathering all the available evidence to piece this case together.

All of the accused are well known to police. We have noticed a significant decrease in violent crime in the community since arrests were made in this incident”.

200 charges = slap on wrist.
OK that was not fair.

We live in a society where we are innocent until proven guilty, it is a good principle of law for the average law abiding citizen.

But somewhere along the line these thugs lost these rights as a good citizen of our community. If your known to police, they get their one get of jail free card, with that they loose their standing as good citizens of our community. The next crime, you get the full meal deal.
gotta agree with you He Spoke, If you are known to the police it better be in a good way, if not... away you go.
Forty charges each? Sounds like quite a dust-up. Hopefully they get a nice, long jail sentence to think about their actions.
I sure hope they get serious jail time. If the judge let's them get away with only a minor sentence, I hope he is willing to live with himself after one of them finally kills someone. That's what is happening it seems. Repetitive criminals, who are let out, usually end up do a more serious crime like murder. Our justice system needs to start working for the citizens instead of the criminals rights. You threaten/harm someone, you don't deserve rights.
Serious jail time? Ha ha ha . Methinks their lawyer will insist the judge just make the accused take a few "anger management courses" (at night school) so as not to interfere with their daily lives. Wait and see.
2x4s, baseball bats, a handgun!!! How about 40 attempted myrder charges. That otta lock'em up for a while.
"party where liquor was consumed"
are there other kinds of partys? (assuming you're not 5 years old)
Weaksauce, when were you last at a AA party.
Festus,,,,, git da rope.
Isn't 'everyone' in Ft St John 'known' to police? Trust the police to put an end to the good 'old west'. Sounds like a damn good night of entertainment to me. Sorry I missed it.
Drop in crime rate after the arrests. Lets find the people in Prince George and get rid of them. Make this city a better place to live in.
