Celebrating Kids At The Family Y

Kids of all ages found something to catch their imagination at the Family Y today
Prince George, B.C. - Kids and their parents came out in droves to celebrate National Child's Day at the Prince George Family Y this morning...
Communications Manager, Kathleen Daniel, says turn-out to the 2nd annual event was fantastic. She estimates between 300 and 400 participants of all ages came out -- double last year's attendance -- over the course of the three-hour event.
Daniel says the theme of this year's day was 'Freedom of Expression'.
"And, at the Y, everything that involves children is really about children expressing their thoughts through an array of activities, it's not limited to verbal, it's all about playing and it emanates across the facility in our daycare programs and our after-school programs," she says. "So today, every activity really celebrated that theme of freedom of expression: we had telephone games, and art activities where children could use their thoughts and creativity to do what they wanted to."
Four-year-old Kade Poustie tried out all the activities, but it was 'telephone' that really shocked him -- he was so surprised that he could hear mom, Krystal Earp, down the string line.
