one less unoccupied biulding to deal with.
DPJ. I think the building has an operating business in it. There was just nobody "home" at the time the fire started.
DPJ... there are a number of businesses in that building. Actually come to think of it almost all of the major fires in the last 3-5 years downtown have been in occupied buildings.
Still....an optimist would call this "downtown revitalization". A pessimist would call this one less tax paying business. I bet it will take at least two years to decide what to do with the shell, let alone repair/abandon it.
I didn't think that building was one of the ones needing revitalization, assuming it is the building on the south west corner. It is not even part of the DBIA district.

Fire seems to be in the back lane part of the unit that Godfrey Appraisals is/was in.

motor cycle gang you say?..perhaps the sober cyclist club?
Seen cops there before.
on a more positive note, I am proud of prince george and its attitude to send out all services such as police and ambulance whenever the fire dept is called and vice versa. They assist each other in team work and provide the best care for PG people. I pity them in this cold weather and they still respond despite adverse conditions.
That's what there paid the big bucks for Western2. To show up and do their job!
