Prince George, B.C.- Another UNBC honour.
 
Today, Professor Margo Greenwood is one of 14 being honoured in Ottawa at the House of Commons today as recipients of the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards.
 
Dr. Greenwood is being recognized for her outstanding career achievements in education and for her dedication and commitment to the health and well-being of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children in Canada. She is currently the Academic Leader of the National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health (NCCAH).
 
Dr. Greenwood has spent the past two decades working on early childhood education. She has served on more than 50 provincial, national and international advisory committees and working groups.
 
UNBC President George Iwama says the University is delighted for Dr. Greenwood “Her inspirational work links policy, research and practice to address the profound inequities in health and well-being for the Aboriginal peoples of Canada. The impact of the work she does with her team and network is truly remarkable."
