Prince George, B.C. – Opinion250 has learned that Health Minister Kevin Falcon will come to Prince George to  make his official announcement of  his intention to seek the leadership of the Liberal party of BC.

Falcon is hoping that by announcing in the rural area he will pick up support from the rural parts of the province.

The announcement is expected either Sunday November 28th or Tuesday November 30th.

Falcon recently spent some time in the City of Prince George drumming up support for a possible run at the leadership and the office of Premier.

Education Minister George Abbott is to make his own  official announcement  today.   When Abbot joins the race, that will officially make it two  in the running, as  Moira Stilwell  was the first out of the  gate.

Bingo!
Who never saw this coming?
WOW. The citizens pick up the cost for another airplane ticket so a HST proponent can tell how wonderful he is. Wonder if Campbell will come with him to lend support.

2 years from now it will be "KEVIN WHO?"
Full page ad in the newspaper this morning with his early supporters.

Does anyone remember who the captain of the Titanic was?
Thanks for the list of supporter gus.
It reads like a corporate who's who list.
Falcon? A witless turkey whose goose is cooked. Be hard to swallow here, probably even in Capistrono. Another ostrich with his head in the sand, to lead a Party of dodos in governing our land?
Titanic?

Does anyone remember how many people died? Who died?

Humans have poor memories. Politicians rely on that. :-)
Early morning rhymes, Socredible?
Strictly for the birds, Gus. The master of the Titanic was Capt. Smith. He went down with his ship.
LOL - McLaren has been a busy boy rounding up support for his BFF Falcon. Looks like everyone who attended The Commonwealth (not subsidized or under speculation Health Center), also signed Falcons support papers. Strange huh?
I wonder if Facon's website will crash with the anticipated in flux of people rushing to endorse Kevin for Lieberal party leader. Pretty obvious the 50 or so people in the paper endorsing Kevin are proponents of the HST. I will be certain not to patronize their businesses in the future.
So I am thinking it will go something like this...
The Campbell mafia all get together in a backroom,(including Gordo and Hansen, who is being forgotten) and decide who will make the big run for the top and be the token boss.
That will be Falcon,as expected.
Then a couple of the others will throw their hats in, just to make it look good.
They will then bring in some ringers...Stilwell for one,and maybe even Christy Clark.
They will all be outsiders, not connected to the Campbell mafia.
Clark is a diehard Liberal, never forget that, she wants the Liberals to win and she does have some support.
She will help them do this deed, whether or not she runs herself.
(she won't seriously run because she has too much baggage)
Maybe even another throwaway ringer from outside as well, for good measure.
The ringers will gather support, supposedly for themselves, and they will all head off to the convention on the short bus.
The other heavyweights will also begin gathering support, supposedly for their own leadership bid.
Smoke and mirrors.
They will all make big rah-rah speeches at the convention for appearances, but everyone will already know who is going to win.
The speeches will be all about woe and remorse for their failures to connect with the voters, all for the benefit of the people(us)watching and listening.
They will vaguely mention adjustments to the HST and talk a lot about how good it will be for B.C.
They will also say if the people want it gone, they will kill it.
They will not mention that they will do whatever they can to stall the anti-HST petition and referendum.
They will all mention how they screwed up selling it to the voters.
Someone will cry.
They will say they are sooo sorry for that.
There may be some more tears.
Falcon will emerge with a slight lead after the first ballot.
On the second ballot, the ringers will admit they can't win and throw their support to Falcon.
There will be more tears and practiced long faces.
The other heavyweights,as was pre-arranged, will also begin to send their support to Falcon.
More long faces.
They will already have decided who gets what portfolio according to their preferences.
Everyone involved will get a great job for themselves...like winning a lottery.
This is called "dividing up the spoils".
Falcon will be crowned the new king and the spin will start to happen all over again.
It will continue up until the next election in 2013.
The freebee's will be thrown around, the remorse and desire to show how they have all seen the light, will be rampant.
But in the end, they will still be the same dishonest fatcats.
They will have until 2013 to figure out how to buy the election and that will be a whole 'nother story.
So Andy,

Bitter
somewhat bitter
or extremely bitter
Kevin Falcon is the new Kim Campbell of the 21st century. If he is unelected he can be appointed by the Liberal Party of BC to be ambassador to Elbow, Saskatchewan. Kim had a choice. Either Russia or Southern Caifornee.
Sorry Gus We had to delete one of your posts because it had a ULR that was too long and it caused a problem with the system.
You need to put them into two lines if possible
This is gonna turn into the Abbott and Costello show Eh!Hey Abbott!!!hehehehe
Not bitter at all He spoke.
This is how I expected it to end for these fake Liberals.
Just suprised it didn't come sooner!
I'm not impressed by Mr. Falcon.
It matters little who is the leader of the Liberal party, because they will have very few people voting for them.

Once we go from recalls, to by-elections, to the election in 2013, the Liberals and their failings will be in the news constantly. They will have nowhere to hide. They will try to buy our vote with our own money but it will not work

The NDP and the Liberals are not the answer to our problems. We need a viable third party, and I suspect that will be the BC First Party. They have over two years to get organized, and then look out.

Time for a change.
Tough choice. campbells mess, or the NDP.
Parties can change with different leadership. Lets see what the Libs come up with before we annoint the NDP.
Good point Palopu...changing party leaders is like changing socks without washing the feet.
The feet still smell bad underneath the new socks!
