Santa Claus arrives at Pine Centre Mall this morning
Prince George, B.C. - For those with little ones, it is beginning to 'feel' a lot like Christmas with Santa's arrival at Pine Centre Mall.
Excited girls and boys waited anxiously with their parents for the man in the red suit to make his grand entrance as part of the mall's 1st Annual Family Christmas Party.
Santa received the royal treatment, arriving with his escorts from the Prince George Fire Rescue services to oohs and aahs from the young crowd.
Also on hand (in photo at right) were Marvin Hawke, Shannon MacKay and Ian McInnis, who were there to pipe Santa's procession through the mall. (Click on photo to see video footage of Santa's arrival and parade)
Santa made his way from the main entrance, to his 'Snow Globe' home that is part of the new Christmas display by the food fair...it will be his home for the coming weeks. (click here for the schedule of photo sessions)
Seven-month-old Ayden Dixon was first in line to have his picture taken with Santa. Ayden waited patiently with his parents, Tiffany and Tyler, for just over an hour.
Amazingly, his response inside the snow globe was one of curiousity, rather than tears. Dad, Tyler, says he was a little afraid his son might pull on the big guy's beard, but it didn't happen.
