Prince George, B.C.- The draft plan for the  development of the  Prince George Golf and Curling Club lands will be back before City Council this evening.

The Winter Games committee will present an update and game plan for the  2015 Games.  The plan  calls for  a budget of $49,441,165 dollars which includes a  $3 million dollar contingency fund.  The presentation will detail where the City should be at various times over the next  four years leading up to the  games.

The Prince George, Air Improvement Roundtable  (PG AIR)  will  request $70 thousand dollars from the City  for the next year’s worth of operations.  That funding includes $30 thousand for  an “Air Care Coordinator.

Initiatives Prince George will be  presenting it’s three year strategic plan which includes a  detailed report on the successes over the past two years, and  plans for the next three.  The report  calls for a service agreement with the city that will see  the City pay $1.024 million dollars  next year.  Of that amount,  20% will be  spent on  efforts to  secure downtown development.

Council will be asked to  give  approval to  two alternative approval processes for the borrowinig of funds for  two different projects, one is  $3.894 million for the reconstruction of River Road, the other is  to borrow $758 thousand  for the Simon Fraser Bridge project.,

This is steady number what? This is rediculous, what a waste of tax payers money.
truewitt, you cant syncronize the traffic signals when you have left turns on the system.

All they need to do is shut down the lights at 15th and 10th or they could leave 15th and shut down the other cross streets. There would be a lot of back lash. But why should there be signals on every block on a provincial highway.

There are a lot of people in PG that think big and act small.

"There are a lot of people in PG that think big and act small." haha isn't that true... i'm one of them, however who would listen to a kid right?
Almost 50 million bucks for the winter games and the city is looking to cut the snow removal budget. Me thinks the priorities at city hall are totally screwed up.
Close Ferry Road from Highway 16 to Massey and make it a real golf course.

PLC controlled light have no problem accounting for left turns and keep traffic flowing smoother than controlling each intersection as a stand alone
Truly is a waste of money beating this dead horse.
