Councils are supposed to make decisions that are for the benefit of all the taxpayers, they after all are the people who councils call upon to pay the bills by way of taxes.
Monday we were told that PG air is looking for $70,000 dollars to, among other things, carry on the work of the anti idling program. So, $30,000 for the Air Care Fairy, and the balance will be used to exchange old wood stoves for new ones and some educaion programs.
I don’t know how you make it known to City Hall, that we don’t want an Air Care Fairy.
We are paying little to no attention to the anti idling program , as a matter of fact PG air seems to have dropped that program off the desk as well.
We want good snow removal, clean streets, and roads without pot holes. Now does that sound like we are being too greedy in our demands?
70 G’s would go a long way to cleaning the snow off a bunch of streets in the city and that is one program that will benefit most of the city taxpayers.
Is it any wonder P.G. is topping the list of Cities that are spending too much compared to growth in population and inflation?
I’m Meisner and that’s one man’s opinion.
