Prince George, B.C. – The autopsy on 15 year old Loren Leslie was performed yesterday, one day later than initially planned, but RCMP Corporal Dan Moskaluk says he has not been advised as to the results. He says that information is not likely to be released any time soon, seeing as how a person has been charged in connection with the murder of the 15 year old and that case is already making its way through the court system.

The autopsy was performed one day later than initially planned because of issues at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. Although Corporal Moskaluk didn’t known the exact reason for the delay, it is known that hospital was facing troubles over cleanliness of surgical instruments.

Moskaluk was able to confirm Loren Leslie and the accused knew each other. “They were not strangers, they had been communicating with each other” says Moskaluk, but he was not prepared to elaborate on how they had been communicating whether it be texting or through social media such as Facebook.

Although there have been many questions about this tragic death and the recent murder of 35 year old Cynthia Maas and the disappearance of Natasha Lynn Montgomery, Corporal Moskaluk says investigators have not provided him with any information that would suggest the cases are linked “I have not seen the autopsy findings on Cynthia Maas, or the autopsy findings on Loren Leslie, so I am not able to comment on that.”

There have also been reports the accused and Loren Leslie were in Prince George the day Loren was murdered, Corporal Moskaluk says he is not able to confirm those reports “I can say we have spoken to many members of the community, and we have been able to put together a good degree of the timeline leading up to the arrest of the accused.”

Loren’s body was found off an unused logging road Saturday night after a suspicious RCMP officer pulled over a pick up truck that was turning on to highway 27   from that logging road.

20 year old Cody Legebokoff has been charged with first degree murder, and will be back in court on January 5th, 2011. He remains in custody.

Sincerest sympathies to the Leslie family and all of her friends. Sounds like she was a very nice young lady. Its just so sad.
To the constable from the Fort. Well done, that's what police work is all about sometimes, a hunch, a feeling, good work.
My heart goes out to the Leslie family, I've lost one too, I understand where you're at.
Great job by the Mountie .... right place at the right time ....
If the accused had stopped to take a leak on the way out of the woods he may have gotten away with it.

with regards to the delay at Royal Inland .... problems with contaminated surgical equip .... Imagine that ... 3 times that has happend now since the Maintenance dept. was contracted out when it went to P3 program last year ...
