Prince George, B.C. -  The Northern Women's Forum is hosting its 8th Annual 'Chili & A Blanket' rally at Wilson Square in front of the courthouse later today...

The annual event collects winter clothing and blankets for those in need, in return for a bowl of hot chili.

Organizers say while the rally is meant to protest poverty, homelessness and regressive government policies, this year's event is also to rally against 'cuts to women's programs, which undermine B.C. communities'.

Chili & A Blanket is on from 12noon until 2pm.

Get the required articles from Campell and all his cronies. Just take it out of their personal pension monies. My pockets are limited with all the taxes, user fees, utility bills going up all the time. Sorry no money to spare.
Dare I say "donor fatigue"?
Can anyone justify an 8 million dollar building for 30 residents? We could have bought them all a house. I'm totally disgusted about the money governments pay for contractors. Contractos do not charge anywhere near the same amount when dealing with the public or small business. They certainly got rich building one shelter!
That 8 million dollar building sure has a lot of windows open at all times. Like every time I drive by it. Methinks the occupants aren't responsible for the hydro bill. Is there a waiting list to get in? How long is the average stay? How did the tenants get chosen? Lottery? Recommendation? Best hard luck story? Connections? Balanced ratio of , uh er, well, uh, you know, occupants? Visitor policy? Lotsa curious questions.
