I have seen many drivers go through this particular location on that Yield sign. It's clearly states Yield not Merge!

Then again the oppoite occurs further down on Hwy 97S about 100 yards down when merging into Hwy 16W, they stop and yield?!!!
I wish the Highways would move one or two light standards and make that a complete lane to the merge lane to Hwy 16. It would make a lot of sense and driving much simpler there, since a lot of people confuse the two so much. You gotta work with an average IQ of about fifty for drivers.
N? Short for nincompoop?
Your exactly right on that one, borneo60!
It wouldn't make a difference if they changed it into a merge lane, 90% of drives in this town don't know how to do that properly. Furthermore, almost nobody will slow down a little to let people merge into traffic. I see more people speed up to cut others off rather than let off the gas just a little and leave little extra room to let someone in.
