The Prince George Cougars get their biggest tests of season to date, when they square off with the WHL leading Portland Winterhawks Friday and Saturday at the Rose Garden in Portland.

The Cougars are looking to extend a three game road winning streak, which started with a 3-2 shoot-out victory in Vancouver on November 13 and continued with a shut-out win in Chilliwack November 24.  The Cougars continued their road run with a 7-5 decision in Kamloops last Saturday and have a road record of 9-5-1-0.  Tonight is the first of four meetings this season between the Cougars and Winterhawks.  The Winterhawks come into the game with a league high 22-8-0-3 mark, but have lost six of their last seven games.  Portland's last outing was a 9-3 loss in Spokane on Wednesday.

The Cougars will look to get back in the win column after a 3-0 setback to the Saskatoon Blades on Tuesday.  The Cougars and Winterhawks square off again Saturday night.  Portland hits Prince George for back-to-back games February 22 and 23.

The Cougars will return home to start an eight game home stand against the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday, December 14, starting at 7:00pm at CN Centre.  Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
