Prince George, B.C. - Liberal leadership candidate George Abbott is in Prince George today.
He will be providing an update on his campaign   to interested members of the public at the Coast Inn of the North from 3:30 – 4:00.

Abbott was the second to announce his run for the Liberal leadership. He  followed Moira Stilwell into the race.

Locally, the only MLA to declare support for any of the candidates is John Rustad, Parliamentary Secretary for Silviculture and MLA for Nechako Lakes. He is supporting Abbott.

Abbott will be a guest on the Meisner program tomorrow morning at 9:00 on CFIS FM and here on Opinion 250 though live streaming audio.

I'm so excited! Good ole bobblehead.
Reminds me of that old Abbott and Costello comedy script, "Who's on first?"
I was a little down today but this news has just made my whole life worthwhile
Damn!...I am going to be far too busy to go down and root for good 'ol George!
I think I have to watch some paint dry...or something....
Why, we can't vote?
You're right seamutt.
The Liberal leadership candidates seems to be trying to create the impression that it is an election.
Not sure what they think they will gain by that, but I'll bet it is no accident.
Somebody dreamed this format up,I'm sure.
We will get to vote later, but right now,the leadership race has nothing to do with the peons, for the most part.
Don't recall when I have seen a leadership race done this way.
Just makes me distrust them all the more.
The only thing that might generate some public interest in either leadership race would be if Corky Evans enters the NDP one. Otherwise, they're both just exercises in boring monotony, replete with clones of those being replaced.
These guys only come around when they want something. Kinda like yer kids on allowance day.
