Triple Fatal Crash on Highway 16

Prince George, B.C.- Three people are confirmed to have died in a multi vehicle crash on highway 16 west at Jensen Road.

The crash occurred around 9 this morning.

At this point it is too early to say if road conditions were a contributing factor.

Highway 16 is closed in both directions 10 km west of Prince George. Drive BC will issue an update on the road closure around 2 this afternoon.

I was wondering why there was so much traffic past my place - everybody detouring around the site. Just before the reported time of the accident I noticed a sudden drop in temperature (went from 3 above to minus one)on my outdoor thermometer and the rain turned to snow instantly. I would bet this played a big part in this tragic situation. My heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families and please please everybody be careful out there.
