Half hour service sucks that why I cycle year around. I have no patience to wait a half hour up to an hour for a bus. Ms Bond I challenge you to take a bus all over town. You will see it is a joke of a service. You can't take credit. Those buses are to big for starters. If you really wanted to get people on the bus it should be every 10 minutes a shows up and peak hours every 5 minutes. You have not done your research or you would know these things.
Smaller buses are/have been used around the world for decades. They are efficient both environmentally and economically. In Mexico City, most Latin
American Cities and numerous cities throughout Asia little vans that hold nine people are used. They usually pass by any given point every 15 minutes or so and they cost very little. I'd love to see PG become a Canadian leader in this respect.
Makes sense, guys. I'm with you.
Prince George has the only full time 100% accessible fleet service in the Nation. If a person with a power mobility aid (42" length, 36" wide, all wheelchairs) needs to get anywhere in the city beyond their battery range, City Transit is there for them and you.

The sizes are a little larger then they need on some runs however much of the room is taken up with the "Disabled" section. Mobility devices, baby carriages, Customer large purchases ect take up the room. On the runs that have traditionally shown low use, there is a new accessible bus which is 40% smaller which will be used in the near future. The fleet could all be Bio-fueled, local restrictions (*availability) prevents the reality
