Prince George, B.C. – It has been just over a year since Vernon Martin disappeared.

The 56 year old disappeared about the same time a fire destroyed the Northern Thunderbird Air hangar he and his family owned.

On December 19th, 2009 at 2:38 PM, the RCMP and Prince George Fire/Rescue were dispatched to a structure fire at the Northern Thunderbird Air hangar at the Prince George Airport.   ( at right,  police  search debris at the NT Air  hangar site  on Christmas Eve, 2009, photo Opinion250 archive)

Fire investigators are unable to conclusively say that the fire was an arson.

In April 2010, a thorough search of the site by UNBC Forensic Anthropologist, Dr. Richard Lazenby was conducted.  As a result of this search, it has been determined that Martin was not in the fire.

If you have any information about Vernon MARTIN or his where-a-bouts, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS (8477).

Comments

There must be several RCMP integrated teams working on this one.
It's pretty obvious he doesn't want to be found.
And from what a rumour is, it is not for the reason some may think.
gus: so what is the rumour and what is the real reason?
Four out of nine hmmmmm
Sorry, I do not think it is appropriate to post the rumour on the internet.
