Three Projects at UNBC Receive Research Funding

Prince George, B.C.– UNBC will receive $68,979 from the British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund, for three projects that will improve research infrastructure.
 
The projects at UNBC include:
·         $30,116 for infrastructure to increase capacity for field studies in avian ecology.
·         $27,842 for infrastructure to enhance research in forest entomology and chemical ecology.
·         $11,021 for infrastructure to support Canada Research Chair in northern hydrometeorology.
 
These are just 3 of 21 such projects at seven B.C. universities, supported by $2.9 million in funding from the B.C. government.

Japan, Finland and Sweden are almost double of Canada's expenditures.

Of course, when I see North Korea as high as they are and Israel at the top, I wonder how much of some of the research in those places as well as the USA is in defense research.
BTW, it is strange to see any information coming from North Korea .... maybe a PR stunt.
That's cheap! Our city has spent 2 million on a police station "dream". We haven't turned any soil yet!
Actually 5 million dollars.
What they should do is, instead of destroying all the pot from the busts, they should sell it as medicinal pot and use that to build our cop shop.
