Merry Christmas to Ben and Elaine and all the staff of Opinion 250!
Another year well done!
I am sitting here in Nanaimo and the rain is coming down in buckets!
I had forgotten how hard it could rain on the coast, and it makes me miss the snow!
As much as I enjoy it here,it will be nice to get back home to the north!
Sadly,I noticed this year that Christmas is changing.
It has been for a while, but this year it seems more noticeable than ever before.
Nowhere did I see any reference to the true meaning of Christmas, as most of us old timers remember it,religious or not.
There are no nativity scenes anywhere,no choirs in the malls, and very few people wishing you a "Merry Xmas"!
Just a lot of "Happy holidays"etc.and people spending money they don't have.
We have forgotten that Christmas doesn't come in boxes and bags.
Kind of sad really,so I guess we will just have to make Christmas what we want it to be in the comfort of our own homes.
Merry Christmas to all!
