2011 will go down in BC as a political double whammy, while in this region; it will be a triple whammy.
We are going to have a by- election to fill the seat vacated by Jay Hill, that is a given, and while there has been a cone of silence around the issues and candidates, it has to warm up just the moment the by- election is called.
Over at the Provincial NDP headquarters, the war is on.
Will Moe Sihota, party pres of the NDP step away from the top spot and allow a woman to take over, or will the treasurer of the NDP, throw in the towel? Either way, the NDP, under their rules, must have one female, either as President, Treasurer or leader of the party.
At this point only men standing in line for the job, which leaves someone out in the cold and Moe’s new found job is not likely to want him to quit so quickly. That has the makings of an interesting few months.
Not to be out done, the Liberals are in the midst of a leadership race, and Christy Clark, the front runner finds herself back facing the public about BC Rail which is not about to go away.
Kevin Falcon, who is running second in the pack, also, must pack the blame for the BC rail deal. Not only was he in Cabinet but also the Transportation minister when BC Rail was carved up and still had some high paid help sitting around in offices twiddling their thumbs.
A number of years ago a third party suddenly began to form and they were able to form the balance of power until the Liberals came along, scooping up the Socreds and Conservatives along the way. At the moment there is no White Knight apparent ready to take over the center in BC politics and unless they emerge from the cave very quickly, the two party run for the leadership and subsequent legislature sitting, has some very interesting times ahead of it.
Are we going to see a provincial election, naw, no one from either side is ready to test the water.
I’m Meisner and that’s one Man’s opinion

Christy Clark is only begining to hear the embarrassing questions in regards to B.C. and her role.
And rightly so.
She has far too many skeletons rattling around in her closet.
She should have thought of that before she ran, and she may end up regreting her decision to jump into the ring.
It's going to get a lot worse for her, and Falcon as well.
He isn't answering any question either.
The Liberals are trying to run with the old guard, and the unanswered questions are going to defeat them from the inside out.
Do they really think we are that easy to pull a snow job on?
Obviously they do.
The NDP is mess, and considering what is happening inside the party,it only shows just how loose Carole Jame's leadership really was.
Again, they should have dealt with these issues a long time ago.
After two election defeats, regardless of the reasons, she should have been removed as leader.
They had to know this was going to happen, and if they didn't,someone was not doing their job.
Letting Sihota out of the basement was a huge faux pas for them.
He has too much baggage and a reputation for complete dishonesty.
Again,do they really think the voters are that easy to scam?
What a mess!
