I bet the clean air fairies lost a few supporters in that neighbourhood. That is the reason why, when I built I made sure that I had allowance for bio combustion chamber.
You see, no electric power no furnace.
compared with the BC hydro site, says midnight as time power is estimated to be restored.
It's like the weather. It will happen when it happens.

Bio combustion? You using personal methane? Careful of flash fires and the smell of singed hair. :-)
Be prepared.
Thats why i have coal oil lamps, flashlights, candles with holders. generator, and I burn wood.
Take that you clean air fairies.
Gives you a taste of what would happen if we ever get hit with a ice storm.
Power finally restored at 10 pm. about 14 hours after failure.
maybe it is tme to request a credit on our hydro bills for loss of service from Hydro?
I got some old kerosene lamps, lots of generators, got those stinky candles that the wife likes.
