Back to Court today To Set More Trial Days for Skakun
By 250 News
Prince George, B.C.- Lawyers for the Crown and Defense in the trial of City Councilor Brian Skakun will be back in court today to try and set a date for the final two days of trial.
The Judge had requested two days be set aside, although he said the second day would be a "back up" in case the the one day wasn't enough.
Skakun is accused of breaching the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act after a confidential personnel report made its way into the hands of the media. The trial saw three days of testimony in October, then another four in December.
Skakun's lawyer is hoping the trial dates will be set for sometime in March.
The defense plans to call at least one more witness, and there is a possibility Skakun himself may take the stand.
