That is pretty impressive....47,800 people in Prince George work...isn't that over 50% of the population?? Imagine what the numbers would be if so many businesses had not been shut down in the core???
Good improvement to the economy. Participation rate in Prince George must be over 70%. With the economy continually improving, Prince George is in good shape to do very well economically in next few years.
You also got to remember that, Prince George is not what it was twenty years ago. It is now a government town. I would say, 40% of the work force probably work for one form of government or another.

Healthcare,School District, CNC, UnBC, Non Profit organizations which are publicly funded, City of Prince George, BC Government, Federal Government, RCMP, etc.

We also being the golden child of the Premier, also kept us in a bit of a bubble as well.

Look around, we got out of this economic melt down pretty easily.

Thats cause most the unemployed were locked up last month.
That's why we closed so many schools. We have a shortage if kids. 47,000 jobs. If you consider the unemployed, 400 street people, all the retired seniors; there isn't any room left for kids considering our population. Someone's not being truthfull here.
