Meiklem Selected to Head Northern Bioenergy Partnership

Prince George, B.C.- The Northern Bioenergy Partnership has selected Elissa Meiklem to be its Executive Director.
Born and raised in Prince George, she holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours), from the University of British Columbia majoring in wood products processing with a specialization in product development.
Ms. Meiklem has 10 years of experience in the forest products industry as a process engineer, management consultant, and product director in both manufacturing and corporate environments, including, among others, Tembec Forest Products in Ontario and Poyry Forest Industry Consulting in New York. She has relationships with industry both locally and internationally.
She will be responsible for executing the three year strategic plan of the Northern Bioenergy Partnership which is an industry-led coalition of organizations involved in the bioenergy industry in Northern B.C. Its vision is to see Northern British Columbia become the national leader in a technologically advanced, forest-based bioenergy industry. Its mission is to be a catalyst for the development of a vibrant and sustainable forest-based bioenergy industry in Northern B.C..
