Crews work to keep runways clear at Prince George Airport

Prince George, B.C.- The weather is taking its toll at the Prince George Airport.

Spokesman Todd Doherty says Air Canada has cancelled it’s 12:05 flight from YXS because of the airline’s concern over icing on lower flying aircraft, so the inbound aircraft from Vancouver haven’t arrived. Air Canada also cancelled its  9:44 a.m. flight because of late arrival of aircraft.

“The priority is to keep the runways operational” says Doherty, “And crews are doing that. We did have some delays this morning because of de-icing.”

He advises people check their airline for the latest information, or the   Airport’s website for the latest information on flight arrivals and departures, (http://www.pgairport.ca/ )

Prince George, RCMP say drivers in the City are driving according to conditions today “I have noticed people are driving slower” says spokesman Gary Godwin “But people have to be reminded to make sure they allow their vehicles enough time to warm up before they head on to the roads.” He says while people have taken time to clear their windshield of snow,   if the vehicle hasn’t had enough time to warm up, that windshield will fog up in no time.

At least they don't have a wind sock to de-ice anymore.

What planet is this guy driving on?

All you need to do is jack,up your air and tour windshield will stay clear. And what happens if you live in a "no idle zone"
