Standoff Over

The standoff in Shelley that started  around 1:30 this morning is over.

Police were originally called to  a domestic dispute in the 40000 block of Eagelview Road in SHelley.  The Emergency Response Team was called out when it was learned  an armed man had barricaded himself in the residence.

People in the area weren't allowed to leave their homes, or return to them until it was all over.  Police say they found a 48 year old Shelley  resident dead in the house around 3:00 this afternoon.

Police did not fire any shots.

The case  is now a joint Police/ Coroner investigation.
