Prince George, B.C. -  A collision between a transport truck and a snow plow on Highway 16 near Mount Robson early yesterday morning sent four people to hospital with minor injuries.

The RCMP's North District Traffic Services says the eastbound transport truck was pulling a vehicle carrier with eight new vehicles and the impact of the crash and debris closed the highway to single lane-alternating traffic for several hours while the wreckage was cleared.

The four occupants of the two commercial vehicles were transported to hospitals in Valemount and Jasper - their injuries were minor in nature, and all four were treated and released yesterday.

The highway was bare with snow-covered shoulders at the time of the crash.  Valemount RCMP continue to investigate the causal factors in this incident.  Police say no charges have been processed at this time, but a final determination has yet to be made.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Valemount detachment at 250-566-4466.

Four people in two highway tractors is a little bit odd... likely a distraction factor in this with so many people involved.
Who's king of the road? On my way from 100 Mile house a while back I had a chip truck pass four of us in white out conditions on a passing lane going the other way, needless to say vehicles ahead were all over the road blinded even further by the idiot. Then on another trip south south of Quesnel we ran into a plough truck in dense fog driving down the middle of the highway at 30km per hour. That was a scary one as well.
4 people in 2 trucks odd? likely team drivers, if it read 6 people, well that would be odd
they do team drivers in snow plows?
