Prince George, B.C. - A 52-year-old Prince George man is in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital of Northern B.C., following a single-vehicle crash in the downtown core this morning.

RCMP say the man apparently suffered a medical emergency while driving and crashed into a parked vehicle.  Police say the accident occurred at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Brunswick Street.

The man had been attempting to turn onto Brunswick from 6th, when he went into medical distress.

Witnesses report that somebody from the nearby Red Cross office began resuscitation efforts until emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
