Prince George, B.C. -  Motorists travelling to the Lower Mainland this evening may have had their plans disrupted...

RCMP say a they received word the slide was covering both lanes of the highway between Boston Bar and Hope, north of the Yale tunnel, just after 6pm this evening.

Officers from Boston Bar and Fraser Valley Traffic Services attended the area and there are no injuries or accidents to report.  Department of Transportation personnel have done an initial assessment and, as a result of poor visibility, closed the route overnight.

They'll be back on-scene in the morning.  Motorists planning to drive the route may want to check www.drivebc.ca for updates to plan their trip.
