Prince George, B.C. -  The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is out with the preliminary results of today's referendum on a community water and sewer system for the Willow River townsite...

By a vote of 67 to 25, property owners in the proposed Service Area have voted in favour of borrowing up to $2.28-million dollars to establish a community water and sewer service.

Chief Election Officer, Karla Jensen, says once the results have been formally declared, a report is expected to be brought before the Regional District Board on February 17th and board members will consider adoption of the bylaws to establish the service.

This will pave way for growth in Willow River.
Thank you to all those involved in helping to make this referendum a reality. In the end, the people have spoken. Congratulations!
Willow River will boom so tis said, but by then I imagine we'll all be dead.
There's already been enough booms out in that godforsaken cross burning redneck hole.
