Community information sessions have been held in Terrace, Kitimat and Burns Lake. This evening, the proponent of the $5.5-billion dollar twin pipeline project will host a technical information session in Prince George.
Northern Gateway reps plan to provide an update on key areas of interest, such as plans for environmental management along the pipeline's proposed 17-hundred km route, and local opportunities stemming from its construction and maintenance.
The four-hour session begins at 5pm at the Ramada Inn, with members of the public able to view displays and meet with project representatives. The presentation is set for 6:30pm and there will be a question-and-answer session afterwards.
A community session set for Fort St. James tomorrow evening has been cancelled, and Enbridge says it will be re-scheduled at a later date. Another technical session is set for Thursday at the Community Hall in Houston between 4:30pm and 8:30pm.
