Prince George, B.C. -  Local speedskater Sarah Pousette is the second Prince George athlete to clinch a gold medal at the 2015 Winter Games in Halifax...

Pousette and her B.C. teammates captured first place in the Long Track Team Pursuit today.  The gold medal was one of three for Team BC at the Games today - with first place finishes in Women's and Men's Aerials.  BC's medal count now stands at 6 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze.

19-year-old Pousette is a member of the Prince George Blizzards Speedskating Club, but she has been training at the Olympic Ice Oval in Calgary while attending U of C this year.  The gold medal caps off the Games for Pousette.  She competed in a total of six events - finishing 6th in the Long Track 3000m event.
