Vancouver- A good Samaritan who left her vehicle to help another woman exit her vehicle that had hit a median in Port Colquitlan is dead along with the woman she was trying to help.
Coquitlam RCMP say they're pulling out all the stops, in their bid to find the driver of a white Jeep Cherokee involved a deadly hit-and-run early this morning.
It happened at Lougheed Highway and Pitt River road after midnight when a woman got out of her car to help another woman who was the passenger of an SUV that had crashed into a pole.
A white Jeep Cherokee came by sideswiping both women and killing them instantly. It then sped off leaving the scene of the accident. The husband of one of the two women watched in horror as the event took place.
The Jeep has been recovered and police say they are pulling out all stops in an effort to catch the driver.
One of the women was 27, the other 30. The good Samaritan leaves behind four young children.

Extremely shocking that the driver did the thing which has become all too common: Run like a coward and disappear into the night, not giving a da*n whether he/she could have been of assistance to the ones he/she hit!
This despicable action alone should be punished with a twenty year sentence!
This is a tragedy!
