Police Ask Public For Help in Solving Murder

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP investigators in Prince George are  turning to the public for  any information they  may have on a  historic homicide.

It  has been nearly two years since 44 year old Vernon Baker was  murdered.

On April 11th, 2009, at approximately 6:35 AM, Baker attended a residence on the 2300 block of Victoria Street and informed the occupants that he had been stabbed.

The BC Ambulance Service and police arrived on scene. Baker was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Investigators are requesting assistance from the public in order to bring the person or persons responsible for the murder of Vernon Baker to justice.
