By 250 News
The Prince George Cougars find themselves in the eighth seed in the Western Conference, but can try to move up with a win in Everett Saturday.
The Cougars are coming off an 8-0 loss to the Spokane Chiefs Friday, a game that saw the Chiefs go 4-for-7 on the power play and out-shoot the Cougars 47-16. Anthony Bardaro led the attack for the Chiefs with a hat-trick and Tyler Johnson picked up a goal and three assists to eclipse the 100 point plateau.
The Cougars face a Silvertips team that has won each of the first three meetings of the season series and has won four in a row overall. The Cougars come into the game four points back of the sixth place Silvertips in the Western Conference playoff chase and one back of seventh place Kamloops, with a record of 28-31-2-1. The Cougars will look to end a five game losing streak Saturday, before moving on for their final meeting of the season with the Chilliwack Bruins Sunday.
The Cougars will get another crack at the Chiefs Friday and Saturday at CN Centre, both games starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
