Prince George, B.C.- The identity of the next Superintendent of the Prince George Detachment of the RCMP could be revealed as early as this week.
Mayor Dan Rogers says the City has completed its interview process with potential candidates and is hopeful the successful candidate will be introduced to the community soon.
Detachment Superintendent Brenda Butterworth-Carr has accepted a promotion that requires her to move to Ottawa, just two years into what had hoped to be a three year commitment to the Prince George detachment. While her home is up for sale, it is unlikely she will physically make the move before the end of April.
When asked what her wish list for the detachment would be, she said she hoped the detachment would continue to have to the ability for the collaborative work that has been going on and really hammering home, community involvement, “The necessity of community involvement, the necessity of agencies working in an integrated, co-ordinated approach, not just with policing, but in all aspects of the community, to be able to offer our kids, our youth our young people positive alternatives so that they’re not drawn into criminal code offences or the types of crimes related to it.”

It isn't worth the risk to me. Pretty sad PG. I'll bet I am not the only one either.
