The Prince George Cougars get a chance to return the favour to the Spokane Chiefs this weekend, as the teams collide for a pair of games at CN Centre.

The Cougars come into the game with a record of 29-31-2-2 for 62 points, the seventh seed in the Western Conference, tied with Kamloops in points and three ahead of the Chilliwack Bruins.  The Cougars latest regulation loss came at the hands of the Chiefs last Friday, who defeated the Cougars 8-0 in Spokane.  The Chiefs took the first game of the season series on October 27 with a 7-3 victory.  The Cougars , though, defeated the Chiefs the last time Spokane visited Prince George on September 19, 2009, with a 2-1 overtime win.

Friday's tilt kicks off a three game home stand for the Cougars, who host the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night.  A pair of Cougars are chasing down season milestones, with Captain Brett Connolly one goal away from 40 on the season.  Should Connolly reach that plateau, he would be the sixth Cougars player to do it and first since Eric Hunter in 2006.  Meanwhile, defenceman Sena Acolatse has 56 points on the year and is four away from becoming the fourth Cougars defenceman to hit the 60 point mark.  Dan Hamhuis was the last Cougars blue-liner to reach that total nine years ago.  Martin Marincin also has a shot at 60 points, with 52 going into Friday night.

Taylor Stefishen, meanwhile, is one point away from breaking Brett Connolly's Cougars rookie scoring record.  Stefishen's two assists Sunday in Chilliwack brought him to 60 points on the year, tying the Cougars freshman standard set by Connolly in the 2008-09 campaign, when Connolly was the CHL's Rookie of the Year with 30 goals and 30 assists.

Puck drop is 7:00pm at CN Centre between the Cougars and Chiefs.  Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
