Lally Makes World Championship Team

Prince George, B.C.- Inner City Boxer, Kenny Lally  has been named as one of 5 Canadian Boxers to make the World Championship team.
Next to the Olympics, the Worlds are the most difficult International tournament.
This year the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijian are the first of 2 qualifiers for the 2012 London Olympics. Lally will need to make the top 8 in the world to qualify for London. Lally fights Team England in Regina on May 2nd.

Kenny will spend a good part of his summer out of country. June 29th the first World Training Camp in Puerto Rico. Back for the Cheo Aponte Cup in Caguas Puerto Rico in July. The 2nd World Training Camp in Hungary in September then directly to Baku where he will be joined by his coach for the tournament.
The news for Lally comes one day after fellow Inner City Boxer, Jag Seehra was notified that he had been won a spot on Canada's "B" Team at the Final Team Selection in January. Jag will travel to Cumana, Venezuela March 22nd to his first International Boxing Event  .  
On Friday Inner City boxers will travel to Vernon for a Club show. Both Lally and Seehra have matches (Kenny boxes an exhibition) The following weekend they will compete in Prince George at the Silver Gloves hosted by the Spruce Capital Boxing Club.
Seehra  has moved up a weight class in the Silver Gloves to 141lbs to make room for Lally who has moved up two weight classes in an effort to get a match. Lally will box at 132lbs.
