Prince George, B.C.- At 1:00 this afternoon, Christina (Christy) Joan Clark, will be sworn in as B.C.’s  35th Premier.

Her swearing in ceremony, and that of her cabinet, will be, for the first time, live streamed on the internet at www.gov.bc.ca.

While there are no guarantees on who will be named to that cabinet, it is likely Pat Bell will retain Forestry. Whether Ms. Clark will opt to have that Ministry continue with the added responsibility of Lands and Mines, will be revealed this afternoon.
As for Shirley Bond, no telling what will happen there either. Bond was the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Where the other candidates for the leadership race will end up is another question which Clark will have to deal with. Kevin Falcon was her closest rival.  To unite the party will she give the former Minister of Health a  high profile cabinet post?

Clark only had only one member of the caucus join her leadership campaign, so will there be a reward for Burnaby-Lougheed MLA Harry Bloy?

The size of the Cabinet and the details will all be revealed at 1:00 this afternoon.

Better turf all the ministers if she want's to win the next election. They're all Campbell clones including herself.
Hope Pat Bell gets to hang on.
You don't approve of her and you would never approve of any new ministers, no matter who they are. So, why do you care what she does?

So PG what is your spin on all the fiberal lies, corruption and deceit. Are they just misunderstood pompous donkeys.
psssssstt.... Those on the NDP side of the house are all Carol James clones ... :-)
I know my spin on that would be that the NDP can hardly wait to get another kick at the can of NDP lies, corruption and deceit .....
MAybe we need an earthquake here to get rid of this petty bickering ..... we have it far to good ....
Looks like an overview of the new cabinet has been given to the Sun ...

More than 6 existing ministers to go to the backbenches since the cabinet will be reduced by that many. Plus some backbenchers will be brought into cabinet, and at least one of the existing 7 women cabinet ministers will be put on the back benches.
Isn't this exciting news while there are Japanese that are struggling for their lives?
Seems to me that the people in Tripoli are also struggling for their lives. We can help these people all we can, however that doesnt mean we dont pay attention to our local problems.

I use the word problems, because that is what the Liberals are. A big problem. I doubt if Clark can turn things around. She had very little support from the caucus and now is stuck with a band of also rans.

Under normal circumstances she would have kicked Bell and Bond in the butt for not supporting her, however is the short term she probably will have to hang on to one of them, however I predict they will both lose their Cabinet Posts within a year.
Ben Meisner has been a fog-horn for Pat Bell for so long, he still cannot imagine the forests ministry without him.
"So PG what is your spin on all the fiberal lies, corruption and deceit. Are they just misunderstood pompous donkeys."

No, the NDP clones are the misunderstood pompous donkeys - using your spin of words.
You spun that answer brilliantly Prince George, exactly as a true prov. liberal would do!Is their a training school for that.Just answer the question as asked,or is it before the courts.Sorry I couldn't resist throwing that in too.
"We can help these people all we can, however that doesnt mean we dont pay attention to our local problems."

Problems??? LOL

You do not realize it is business as usual in the world of western politics?

Maybe we need some from Lybia to help us along to give us a bit more excitement.

BTW, Libya is a governance problem, so it is reasonable to compare it to our "problems"

An earthquake and the result of its path of destruction on the population is not exactly a governance problem.

Now, back to Lybia and the "fiberals". You were saying we have problems.

Tell us about then Palopu, and I'll counter with a few Lybian problems and you can judge how bad the fiberals really are.

It is all relative. So I would not sweat it if I were you. When they come to storm you with armed police when you are protesting with signs in the street, then I'll start to get concerned. At the moment, we are a bit far away from that.
Jakeadoo "You spun that answer brilliantly Prince George".

Well, I'll spin it once more if PG does not mind. PG is not the one who started it. Why should people not respond to stupid ad hominems? Can you give me a good reason?

This stuff is so petty!!!!
What chance would the opposition have to get back in again if the Liberals were perfect?

Considerably less than zero percent.

So, celebrate, don't whine!

This is a site for comments! It's not the revival of the Spanish Inquisition, jakeadoo! Take a pill and chill!

Steve Thomson from Kelowna, the centre of Forestry in BC .....

Pat Bell ... from PG, the Centre of Tourism in BC .....

I did not mention anything about the NDP but I will add the fiberals sure do make them look like rank amateurs when it comes to corruption, lies and deceit. Boy some sure get testy when criticizing the the fiberals. I guess they hate getting knocked around so much, such an easy target the fiberals.
