Given the problems that the community of Mackenzie has faced over the past few years, let’s hope that all the surrounding regions will pitch in to make the community Hockeyville and  win the $100,000 prize that goes with it.

 

The 100 grand is to be used to upgrade the arena in the community that wins, and you can be sure Mackenzie will find no problem in putting the money there.

 

On the weekend, the community went from being  in the top 10 to the top five in Canada.

 

All that is needed now is that extra push from the people of Prince George, Vanderhoof and other communities in the north to put them over the top.

 

It would be oh so nice to see a community that has seen better times rise to prominence in Canada and being awarded Hockeyville's top prize would easily do that.
