Prince George, B.C.- While Canfor is putting in new equipment that is aimed at reducing odour and fine particulate emissions, making sure the desired results are achieved is another story.

Later this morning, there will be more information available about the launch of a special air quality monitoring study that will be based at Exploration Place.

Two new continuous air quality monitoring stations have been put in place at the museum. FPInnovations is partnering with Canfor Pulp to measure and report the changes in air quality. In addition to the monitoring to be done automatically by the equipment, manual samples will be taken by staff at the museum.

Ok, Canfor can install the air monitor system. It is sort of like asking Heinz to monitor the quality of ketchup on the shelves. It will be a preprogrammed air tester.
"FPInnovations is partnering with Canfor Pulp" and "In addition to the monitoring to be done automatically by the equipment, manual samples will be taken by staff at the museum"

In a news article that is barely more than 100 words you failed to read two pieces of critical info that disprove your paranoia. Not only is this project partnered with a reputable research firm, but the data will also be backed by Exploration Place staff. I suspect Canfor is merely footing the bill.

This is great news as now Canfor will have a way of verifying if all their new technology actually makes an improvement. Good work to all the partners in this endeavour
Mission accomplished, got a response.
