Kid's 'Good As New Sale' Today
By 250 News
Prince George, B.C. - Last night it was sellers flocking to the Diocesan Centre on Southridge Avenue to drop off their offerings for today's Kid's 'Good As New' Sale hosted by the College Heights Community Association. Later this morning, it will be a buyer's paradise.
The sale goes twice per year - once in the spring and once in the fall - and offers parents who've moved to a new stage of child-rearing the chance to sell their quality items from the previous stage. There were cribs, high chairs, exersaucers, clothing, books, toys and wagon-loads of interesting items being wheeled into the centre last night in preparation for today's four-hour sale, from 10am until 2pm.
The community association divides the proceeds with 70-percent going back to the seller, and 30-percent going to support CHCA programming. Monies raised in past sales have supported the College Heights' Breakfast with Santa, the Halloween Fireworks, preschool, and the Volunteer Dinner and Dance.
