The curling team lead by skip Brad Gushue,  has  taken the gold medal in men's curling with a 10-4  victory over Finland.

The game burst wide open in the 6th end, when Canada grabbed 6 points.  Skip Gushue, missed  his draw on his final shot in that end  as he said he knew they were going to pick up 6 points, and that would lead them to the gold medal He told reporters his heart was racing so fast when he released that final stone, he knew right away it was going to go through the house.

Olympic rules stipulate competitors must play 8 ends, which they did, before Finland made the decision to  shake hands.

The gold medal ceremony will take place tomorrow.
