why would the district parent advisory council have to ask the board to establish drug free zones around schools? what does the board do now, nothing? maybe LAWS NEED TO BE ENFORCED or is this an oxymoron?
The drug free zones also establish a minimum charge that will be pressed against the person. For some reason our local crown council is against going that extra step. This program is ran in Fort St. John and has been very good at shutting down drug dealers near schools and other community areas where kids frequent. I am not too sure why crown council is so against the idea here or in other areas in BC.
I must be under the mistaken impression that everywhere in this city is supposed to be drug free?? I guess I'm wrong.
