Highway Symposium Set for End of Month

The Highway of Tears two day symposium  will take place at the end of the month at CN Centre.  

Organizer Rena Zatorski says the sessions  will take place on the 30th and 31st . 

The Lheidli T'enneh Band had contributed $1500 dollars to the symposium,  the Provincial Government has agreed to match  that amount, and Carrier-Sekani Family Services  has  contributed $10,000  but Zatorski says there  is still a need for  funding.

The Solicitor General, John Les, has indicated he would like to attend the sessions and Zatorski says the RCMP would also like to take part.  She would also like to see youth and  women's groups get involved as they are at  higher risk and can best  share their experiences and offer suggestions for solutions.
