This snowfall helped put April 2006 on the map
Environment Canada says April wasn’t especially cold, but it was especially snowy.
TEMPERATURES
Mean Monthly Temperature | 5.9 | Normal 5.2 |
Mean Monthly Maximum | 12.2 | Normal 11.4 |
Mean Monthly Minimum | -0.5 | Normal -1.1 |
Warmest Day 22.9 on the 24th

No records set when it came to temperature, but there was one very important note on the precipitation side.
While we tipped the normal rainfall amount (25.9) by getting 26.6 mm, snow was another story. The normal total monthly snowfall for April is 6.3 cm. We got nearly five times that amount at 30.0 cm.
