This snowfall helped put April 2006 on the map

Environment Canada says April wasn’t especially cold,  but it was especially snowy.

No records set  when  it came to temperature, but there  was one very important note on the precipitation side.

While  we tipped the normal rainfall amount (25.9) by  getting  26.6 mm, snow was another story. The normal total monthly snowfall for April is 6.3 cm.  We got nearly five times that amount at 30.0 cm.
