CNC Draft Stretegic Plan Ready

The College of New Caledonia has developed its draft strategic plan to carry it through till 2010.  The plan has been in the development stages since the spring of 2005.

The College opened up the process to students, employees and members of the communities in which CNC has developed  links.

The draft is ready, and while short on detail, it does offer several broad categories for focus:

The College will be accepting further input into the draft until the 12^th of May, after that time, the document will be finalized and  presented to the CNC Board of Governors in June.

Highlights include:

-support for educators in resources and curriculum, improved services for students, including improved recreational and social activities, more opportunities for students to  get in to the programs,  expansion of aboriginal  access to programs, more consultation with the labour market,  gearing programs to meet  labour market needs.
